DMC Design & Engineering: a systematic approach to industrial and office design
Last year, Demaco Group spun off its design and engineering capabilities into a separate entity - DMC Design & Engineering. The reason behind the decision is simple: the team's expertise has far outgrown the needs of the in-house department and opened the way to a wider range of clients and projects.
The company, headed by Filip Slabotinsky, now covers the entire project life cycle - from technical due diligence and feasibility studies through permitting and detailed project documentation to implementation support and property management. Around half of the orders come from external investors, developers and end users, and this proportion is growing.
The team has strong roots in industrial design and works with dmc construct's proprietary technical standard to ensure efficiency and predictability of cost and schedule. The firm is gradually extending the same systematic approach to office, retail and residential projects - currently mainly in Brno and the surrounding area.
A prime example of DMC D&E's work is the implementation of the DMC 2 production facility for Lenzing Biocel in the DMC Paskov industrial park - a project with demanding technological requirements and a strict timeframe, where the team secured complete permitting, including a zoning change, in record time.
