A new address is rising in Vinohrady: Offices and apartments instead of the legendary Transgas

One of the most discussed places in the centre of Prague is finally coming to life. A modern multifunctional building is being built on the site of the former brutalist Transgas complex near the Museum - the Vinohradská 8 project, which will bring new boutique offices, apartments and a commercial parterre to the prestigious location on the border of Prague 1 and 2.
The developers behind the project are Penta Real Estate and PSN, who will invest a total of CZK 3.5 billion in the construction. The architectural design comes from the Jakub Cigler Architects studio and respects the character of the surrounding Vinohrady district - the modern development naturally follows the block structure of the district.
What will be built in the building?
The office part will offer approximately 7,500 m² of LEED Gold standard space - space for tenants looking for a representative address in the heart of Prague. On the ground floor, over 1,400 m² of shops, restaurants and other services are planned. The residential part includes almost 200 residential units, including exclusive penthouses with views of Prague's rooftops.
Where and when?
The location speaks for itself - the project is within walking distance of two metro lines, tram stops and the Main Railway Station. Completion is planned for 2028.
