City Palais, 28.Října, Prague 1 - Old Town
The City Palais (formerly the Prague Credit Bank) is an impressive building built in the early 20th century in the early Art Nouveau style by the prominent architect and builder Matěj Blecha. It is located on the territory of the Prague Monument Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the very centre of the city, at the intersection of Prague's most important streets, 28th October, as a direct continuation of Na Příkopě Street and Wenceslas Square, with excellent transport accessibility directly at the exit of the Můstek metro station.
It is a building with six above-ground and two underground floors with a total area of 6,210 m2, which has undergone a comprehensive reconstruction and which has successfully combined historical ambience with modern architecture.
The City Palais has a unique retail space with a total area of 3,551 m2 and office space with a total area of 2,152 m2 with original Art Nouveau details.
